About Belgium


The Kingdom of Belgium is a highly developed Country with a population of 10million inhabitants. It is a Western European Country that has three official languages; French, Dutch and German. Dutch is spoken in the North, French is spoken in the South, and, a small minority, are German Speaking. The Capital City, Brussels is bilingual as both French and Dutch are used there. Belgium is the founding member of the European Community and Brussels the headquarters of the European Union.

The Country is famous for the tons of chocolate that it produces each year as well as the 400 types of beers that it offers to its visitors. Chocolate and Beer are at the top of the list however Belgium is well known for its culinary delights. Restaurant going is very much a part of Belgium culture and it is known to have the highest concentration of restaurants in the world. If this isn't enough to entice you then the medieval cities, cathedrals and hundreds of castles will undoubtedly capture your heart.
